When you create an account, we collect your email address. When you use Typo, the text you submit is processed in real time to generate a result and is not retained on our servers afterwards. We track usage (word counts only, never the text itself) to enforce plan limits. Your edit history is stored only on your Mac.
Text you submit is sent to Anthropic for processing. We do not use your text to train AI models, and neither does Anthropic under our commercial API terms. Text is processed in real time and is not stored by the AI provider beyond what is needed to generate a response. On the one-time (bring-your-own-key) plan, your text goes directly from your Mac to Anthropic using your own API key and never passes through our servers.
Your account data (email) and usage counts (words used, for plan limits) are stored securely using Supabase. We do not store the text you submit or the edits Typo produces. Your edit history lives only on your Mac. Payment information is handled by Stripe; we do not store card details.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed.
